Each year it gives us great pleasure to welcome new families into our community.
We hope the following guidelines will help when you begin the application process in the Fall.
Your child must be two by June 1st of 2014 in order to apply for our entry level Twos/Threes Class beginning in September 2014.
Our 2014-2015 application will be available for download online as of September 3rd, 2013. Our deadline for applications will be November 4th, 2013.
Open Houses offer an opportunity to see the facility and to hear Jean Rosenberg, Founding Director, articulate Chelsea Day School's Mission and Program. Parents are invited to attend and may do so without having submitted an application.
The dates of our Open Houses for 2014-2015 Admissions will be posted on September 3rd, 2013.
The Open Houses are for parents only and require a reservation due to our limited space. You will have an opportunity to make a reservation online on or after September 3rd, 2013. Once the dates are posted please rsvp with your preferred date by email to:

We would like to meet every family that applies to Chelsea Day School but because of the number of applications we receive, we hold a lottery. The lottery will determine the families who will continue on in the application process.
If your application is drawn in the lottery you will be notified of the date and time of your family meeting. Family meetings will be held in November 2013 thru February 2014. Letters of notification will be mailed in February 2014, in accordance with dates set by the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York, (ISAAGNY)
If your application is not drawn in the lottery, your application fee will be returned to you.
