Each year it gives us great pleasure to welcome new families into our community. We hope the following guidelines and information help as you begin the application process.
Eligibility
Your child must be two by June 1st, 2012 in order to apply for our entry level Twos/Threes Class beginning in September 2012.
Applications
Our 2012-2013 application will be available online as of September 7th, 2011. You may also contact the school in September for an application to be mailed to you. Our deadline for applications will be on November 4th, 2011.
Open Houses
Open Houses offer an opportunity to see the facility and to hear Jean Rosenberg, Founding Director, articulate Chelsea Day School's Mission and Program. Parents are invited to attend and may do so without having submitted an application.
We will have two Open Houses in October.
Our Open House dates for Admissions to the 2012-2013 school year will be:
October 20th, 2011 @ 6:30pm

We apologize, but due to our limited space our Open House dates for the 2012-2013 Admissions process are filled. All applications will enter our lottery regardless of whether you have attended an Open House or not. We will be accepting applications until November 4th, 2011.
Lottery
We would like to meet every family that applies to Chelsea Day School but because of the number of applications we receive, we hold a lottery. The lottery will determine the families who will continue on in the application process.
If your application is drawn in the lottery you will be notified of the date and time of your family meeting. Family meetings will be held November thru February of 2012. Letters of notification will be mailed on February 28th, 2012 in accordance with dates set by the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York, (ISAAGNY). If your application is not drawn in the lottery, your application fee will be returned to you.
