This class offers a unique opportunity for parents and their infants to come together in a calm, thoughtfully prepared environment that blends play, observation, and meaningful conversation.
Rooted in a Reggio-inspired approach, we begin with the belief that even the youngest children are capable, curious, and active participants in their own learning. Each session includes time for open-ended exploration with carefully selected materials that invite babies to engage through their senses, move at their own pace, and begin to make sense of the world around them.
The class is led by Rachel Duda, Director of Chelsea Day School. With over 25 years of experience in education and degrees in both Infant and Child Development and Early Childhood Education, Rachel brings both depth of knowledge and a reflective approach to her work. As a mother of four, she also brings a practical, grounded perspective to the conversations we will share. Rachel believes early childhood is the most important time in the life of a family and is committed to supporting parents during this time.
