Our Toddler Group Class welcomes 8 toddlers between the ages of 15 and 21 months, accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The class is led by a Chelsea Day School teacher. Twice a week, the children gather in a supportive environment where they are encouraged to engage in open-ended play as well as sensory exploration with a variety of materials. Our indoor play space provides them with safe and interesting challenges for their gross motor play. With the teachers' guidance, the children experience a gentle structure to become familiar with a consistent routine, continue to develop their language, and become comfortable in a classroom setting with support.

Our Gentle Separation Class offers a warm and nurturing introduction to a preschool setting. This class supports a gradual transition from the comfort of being with a parent or caregiver to more independent exploration. In a thoughtfully prepared classroom with interesting, age-appropriate materials, children engage in experiences that spark curiosity and foster language and social skills. Sensory play, art, story time, and music are all part of their routine. As children grow more comfortable, caregivers gently step back, remaining nearby as their child gains confidence and trust with the teacher and other children in the classroom. It is a meaningful and reassuring first step into a school environment.
